Pretty much this. It's funny because, at least to me, I found Eve's heel run to be better than anything Layla ever did. Don't get me wrong, Layla's LayCool shtick was great but heel Eve was so enjoyable.

This with the "better wrestler" question being a bit down the middle because neither was a technical genius but they put in work as they got better.

Who was the better wrestler? Layla. One of the most improved womens wrestlers I've seen. I've always liked her matches, even towards the end of her run she proved she could still hang with the younger girls despite her age

Who was the better talker? Eve.

Who was the better dancer? Layla (insert Eve dancing gif)

Who was more charismatic? They're even for me

Who was more successful? They're even. Maybe the edge goes to Layla since she held the Women's title which is more prestigious than the Diva's title.

Who made a bigger impact? They're even

Who is more memorable?  Layla

Who is likely to be inducted into the HOF first? Neither will. I guess Layla has more of a chance due to Laycool

Who was the better wrestler? It's a hit or miss for me.

Who was the better talker? N/A

Who was the better dancer? Layla

Who was more charismatic? Eve (Heel run just to clarify)

Who was more successful? Layla

Who made a bigger impact? Layla

Who is more memorable? Both depends on how well WWE puts their video packages together.

Who is likely to be inducted into the HOF first? Layla w/Michelle

I think Layla is such an unsung hero.  Queen of excelling at wrestling with only on the road training.  Queen went from losing to Kristal after a scoop slam to besting the Glamazon on PPV in high intensity matches.  Poor ha

Who was the better wrestler? - They're pretty even looking back (which is cute with them being the only successful DS winners) but I obviously preferred Eve personally.

Who was the better talker? - Eve.

Who was the better dancer? - Layla fsl;g.

Who was more charismatic? - Eve.

Who was more successful? - Layla had a higher peak but I'll say Eve since all her stuff was solo and she had more official reigns.

Who made a bigger impact? - Layla with Michelle.

Who is more memorable? - Layla because Eve left too soon and I'll forever hate her for it.

Who is likely to be inducted into the HOF first? - Eve.

I agree and Eve was definitely used more in roles other than wrestling like with that storyline, the well-publicized turn, being the assistant to GMs, etc. but I'm trying not to ignore how LayCool had a chokehold over the division for like a year. :rot:

I guess that's another area where it can be argued both ways since WWE was committed to pushing both, although Layla's Divas title reign and delayed heel turn does make me think that was probably more Michelle's power.

I wanted to say this but I didn't know if I was being biased because I obviously remember more of her career. If you're saying it, I'll agree though!

What's crazy is I always compared the two in my head and considered their careers very effing symmetrical, for good reasons, it's crazy.

Who was the better wrestler? Layla tbh. Eve's first 2 reigns, her matches weren't too exciting but her moves weren't too flashy either bar moonsault. Layla was flashier but not as "technical" and "ground based" as Eve. Eve had those holds on lock, and Layla had the kicks.

Who was the better talker? Eve was a natural, she came in with the talent on mic, and she was one of the best actresses we've had in the past decade hands down. Layla was never tragic but Eve def.

Who was the better dancer? Layla :uhh:

Who was more charismatic? Layla tbh, even when she was a nobody on SD an ECW, she oozed charisma. While Eve was boring during her first 2 reigns. Layla was able to pass that charisma to Michelle thankfully. But the tables completely flipped (at the same time too) with Layla's Divas title reign as a face and Eve's heel turn. Layla was pretty boring and Eve was just slaying. That and Pop Energia Eve are the ones I stanned.

Who was more successful? Mmm....both have had multiple reigns, Eve having more Divas reigns while Layla held the more prestigious Womens, being the last woman to do so. Layla got a WM program, Eve got multiple. Eve was semi-on top of the Divas division and running with the men, while Layla was running the entire division (with Michelle) for longer and feuded with multiple women in several segments, while somewhat touching the men's division with the Vickie/Edge thing and were pros on NXT. I'd say the Slammys edged Layla out? It's hard, but Layla.

Who made a bigger impact? Same as above, I'll say Eve, since she was more choking the menz too.

Who is more memorable? Hard af. I'll say Eve.

Who is likely to be inducted into the HOF first? If Layla leaves Witness Protection, then Layla. Eve isn't impossible, but wouldn't happen before Layla. Then again Beth happened, and WWE loves Eve.

    • More former Divas on Chasing Glory
      By Natalie
      Eve:
-She still feels like wrestling is a big part of her life
-When they announced the Women's Royal Rumble when she was teaching women self-defense and right after she got home she received all the highlights of what's going on in the company and she was very emotional about it. She says she knows how much it means for the women that are currently there.
-She knows she had a part in creating the revolution because that's how history works and she says that back when she was there, women were very frustrated because they didn't have important roles. That was one of the reasons why she retired.
-She's very happy for the current generation of women because they finally get time to shine.
-”Divas Generation” couldn't connect with the crowd because the company basically told them to go out, have an entrance, have a match and go home. She wasn't surprised that fans weren't paying attention to the women because there was no investment there.
-She misses WWE. The in-ring part was really hard to let go. She loves wrestling and dedicated herself to it but she has a different life now and she doesn't miss traveling.
-She says that Sasha is her favorite, she loves her character and thinks she's an incredible performer. She loves her.

      Kelly Kelly:
-She likes to watch the show sometimes. She had a feeling Stephanie was going to announce the Rumble while watching the show. She loved seeing the girls' reactions, how excited they were.
-She thinks she would've cried if she was the part of the current roster. She remembers when she was there 10 years ago and really wanted WWE to do Women's Royal Rumble.
-She agrees with Eve, she was very frustrated when women didn't receive chances but she feels that they made sure to make their presents known and now people are finally recognizing that.
-She remembers feeling very overwhelmed when she got signed but she had good people behind her and leading her.
      -She misses performing, seeing everybody.
-She doesn't think that she'd ever return though because traveling was too exhausting.
-Paige is Kelly's favorite on the current roster. She loves everything about Paige, thinks she's a great wrestler and entertainer. Says they've never met before but Rosa always tells her about Paige, and how they would probably be best friends because they're so alike. Rooting for her to win the Royal Rumble.

      Melina:
-She loved being a heel because nobody else wanted to be hated and she loved being booed by fans. The only reason why she wanted to be a babyface was that she could do more effective moves in the ring.
-She said that her heel character was completely different than who she is in real life.
-She found out about Women's Royal Rumble from Twitter.
-She thinks that it's awesome that the segment ended with all the girls celebrating together but also they should've been more in-character because they all are there to win the match.
-She is surprised that it took WWE so long to make it happen.
-She says that it made her happy when little girls told her they wanted to be like her but she didn't want them to go through all the struggles. Nowadays it's different.
-She wishes she was in the current division but she got to be a part of something she loved and she's happy for the current roster because they get the opportunities.
-She loves Charlotte, Alexa Bliss and Asuka. She would love to work with Asuka.
-She misses wrestling but she feels like she has nothing more to prove. She doesn't feel like she has anything to fight for because she accomplished a lot. (You need closure sis  )
