MATURE CONTENT. NOT SUITABLE FOR WORKPLACE. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED

Full Sail, Washington. A small, yet populous fisher's town on the outskirts of British Columbia—destined for great things with its blossoming economy—has been rocked by significant changes. It began with the body of a young debutante found dead, soaked in red in the Hunter Lake. Her body mutilated almost beyond recognition. While the town tried to forge understanding and fathom how someone could do something like that to one of the town's finest, the town's feeling of safe haven had been forever erased. In its place, paranoia and suspicion harbor over the coast; much like the seagulls. And then tragedy struck again. A string of gruesome, brutal murders followed that of Eva Marie, including that of Mayor Stephanie McMahon. Now, as the storm picks up and over one year is removed, one thing is clear: something dark and sinister has been unleashed upon Full Sail.

Who are they, or who will they be? The ones who quiver in the face of malice or those who confront the onset of evil? Are they the proprietors of justice or the perpetrators of discord? No matter the choice, unbeknownst to all was the unwavering truth—chaos creates change. The visceral, necessary change that separates the wicked from the weak. And, as they, the adjacent, would soon enough learn; there is no strength in sanctuary. True, true, indeed. All power lies in the wild.

Adam Cole

As Byron is going through his week Adam is getting word in ear about breaking news. He presses the listening device to his ear and he hears “Eva Marie has been found dead”... He tries to remain calm as the EP is explaining to Cole what to say. He really can’t since Eva Marie wasn’t just a dead body to report on, she was a close friend of Adam. She helped him through his most darkest moments, but still it was his job to report and the time has now come as Byron has just finished his segment.

“Well, we have some... disturbing, breaking news coming out of Lake Hunter tonight.” Adam looks away from the camera for a moment as he gets emotional having to look at the prompter. He gathers himself and goes back to work as he continues to read this on the border of breaking down. “The search for the missing Eva Marie has ended after only a short forty-eight hours. Recovered earlier tonight were her remains-- charred almost beyond recognition just by the waters of the lake. While Full Sail police has ensured the lakefront area and the adjacent hotel has been alerted, early examinations of her body have led cops to believe that this may have been an act of foul play. Police officials have decided to withhold from media participation until the autopsy has been completed; we'll keep you posted on any further updates in this developing, devastating case.” Adam chucks his papers and looks at the camera as he has a final minute before the show ends. He is filled with so many emotions, all of them about Eva, but he refuses to let this death be the last thing people hear about Eva. “We had a cute video to show you before we signed off, but I’m going to take the hit for it here and not talk about it because this breaking news has me personally shaken. Eva Marie was a close friend of mine and she saw me through my much-publicized rehabilitation in life for me to be able to even sit here and report to you. She gave so much of herself to this town. I’m sure It is safe to say that everyone will miss her dearly… And with that, I’m Adam Cole and this has been RHNT at a 11pm. As the lights go out on Adam Cole he can be seen whipping the tears from his eyes as he begins to let out all the emotions he had to bottle up.

ONE WEEK LATER...

BECKY LYNCH /

As she sunk in her study inside the Full Sail Police Station, paperwork was sprawled across her desk, as details and accounts crossed between parallels of her mind. While the amounting of a week's worth of research had been fruitful, so many more questions still remained...

Hoping one was found in the depths of her tea, she took a brief swig from her thermos, and settled back into her work, before she heard the small bell ring atop her office door-- signaling someone's entrance. "Can I help you?" She'd quickly ask, not turning to look who was there.

TBC: @Mariah.

Standing at the frame of the door way and peering into the office, his eyes scouring the interior as he reflects on his desire to one day occupy an office just like it, Seth clears his throat and scans a sheet of paper given to him at the front desk. "I'm looking for a, um, Detective Lynch?"

She'd turn around to notice the young-looking officer standing in front of her. "Well, look no further. You're speakin' to her, in the flesh," she'd shrug. "And what might be the occasion?"

BECKY LYNCH
Her tongue would lick the fronts of her teeth, her leery eyes meeting his, no matter how endearing and puppy-like his face appeared. "I've gotten that a lot. And you wanna know what else I've gotten a lot of? That, my friend, is shit. done." She'd stand from her chair, leaning against her desk, hand propping herself up. "As far as I'm concerned-- Officer Rollins, is it? As far as I'm concerned, that door, where you stand is where you're going to leave all your expectations." She'd nod, a sobering expression on her face. "Because the things that lie on this desk right here have far exceeded mine! If I came in here with expectations like yours, things like this!?" She'd present to Seth a snapshot of what was once Eva's face, now burnt to a crisp as a black, rotting corpse's head. "...would have me scarred for life. But, I detach myself from it. I don't expect anything. Instead, I adapt to everything!"

She'd hold a cold stare at Rollins for a moment before, before settling back into her chair. "And now that I've busted your balls, tell me what they briefed you with beforehand. I've got a meeting with the forensic specialist tomorrow morning as it's gonna be a while before they come to any conclusions; I'll fill in as many of the gaps as I can for you."

Seth looks down and titters, his pride taking a hit considering his flirting and brown-nosing usually hypnotized his target. He scratches his stubble, returns eye contact with Detective Lynch and shrugs, his paper rustling as he folded it and slid it into his back pocket, adjusting his shoulder holster and tightening his bun thereafter while he replies.
"All I really know is a young woman -- Eva Marie -- is suspected to have been murdered and the only lead is her boyfriend or ex-boyfriend? Seems like everyone around here is pretty under-prepared..." he remarks in a soft tone as he looks at Lynch smugly.

"Well, ex, now." She'd somberly correct, before she motioned with her arm for Seth to come towards her desk, the gruesome photo of what was once Eva now concealed in its proper file. She'd pull from another folder select social media shot printouts-- shirtless, in the midst of rock climbing instruction; smiling with friends; and in a snapshot with Eva, of the aforementioned ex-boyfriend. "Matt Sydal, twenty four years old. I'm currently waiting for a return email from Miss Marie's carrier on phone records between the two, and as cliched as it sounds, the boyfriend is always a good place to start. I've already questioned her parents and they're both equally devastated and have established alibis. No alibi yet for Mr. Sydal, so I'll have him in for questioning within the week. You'll be there with me.

...And yes, we're under-prepared. It's a real kicker for someone to get killed in this town. Of all places..."

"Why do you say that?"
Seth would ponder while he curiously picks up the folder and flips through the photos of 'Matt Sydal', rolling his eyes and smirking at the gratuitous shirtless shot as Detective Lynch's attention was briefly elsewhere.

"It's the closest sentimental value to most... the connection with a partner can produce extreme emotion. I mean, there are enough incidents of foul play in other cases to justify it, yes?"
She'd inquire plainly. "Anywho, there's no pointin' the fingers to be done yet. Especially not without an autopsy. I'm just gonna ask him some questions and see where's his head's at... and you get to stand there and look pretty."

"I meant why do you say that about someone being killed in this town, because if you ask me, a small, quiet town like this seems like the perfect place for this kinda shit to manifest,"
Seth scoffs, grins and licks his lips. "In regards to Mr. Sydal, I'm fully aware of the 'mens rea'. I'm not just pretty, boss lady."

She leers. "Watch your tongue." She'd take a beat, collecting her files on her desk briefly, putting things back in order as she spoke. "I've been stationed here for two years. Most of my work has been in Seattle or Vancouver-- never here. This is supposed to be the one place where petty crimes are the only ones man are capable of. And while it's unrealistic, sure, for me to think that... it was nice while it lasted."

She sighs. "But yes-- I'm waiting. That's the status right now. I had your contact information already forwarded to me, and here..." She'd retrieve one of her cards from the side of her desk. "...In case you find something before I do. When I bring Sydal in, I'll give you a day's heads up. Don't do anything dumb in between. I don't have a lot of variety in the subordinate pool, and you looked more promising than my other options. Make sure I picked right." She'd solemnly assert to him with a look in her eyes, before returning to her paperwork. "You can excuse yourself now."

Seth gives Becky a polite close-mouthed smile that she ignores as she continues her work. He raises an eyebrow and takes backward strides in the direction of the office door. "All of that sounds good! You have a lovely day, boss," he says farewell while turning his back toward her and quietly sighing.

Still overly-ambitious and always one to get what he wants, his first day being brief and not going as he imagined only ignites his drive. He moves down the hall -- passing the desk of an ogling colleague, sneering in response -- and makes his way to where he's supposed to be stationed, eagerly planning for the coming questioning of Matt Sydal.

"Home sweet home." Alicia would exhale, her eyes glistening as she'd examine the familiar streets, a drastic change from the Parisian milieu she'd grew accustomed to for the previous four months. Although it was home - at least according to her birth certificate, Full Sail was the last place in the world Alicia wanted to be, the last place she needed to be. "Remember pup stay out of trouble, we don't need you being deported from another country right now." The staunch Mr Fox would lecture as Alicia would roll her faux blue-eyes. "Less of the witchcraft stuff, maintain a good attitude and especially no narcotics," she'd tease before planting a kiss on her Father's cheek, beginning her descent down the quiet Main Street.

Taking a minute to admire the reflection of her perfectly planned outfit in the dusty stained windows of Shades and Shadows, Alicia would dramatically burst through the door of the dismal store. "Ms Turner? I'm home and I NEED some strawberry incense STAT!"

Paige Turner

Paige rolls her eyes behind the book she's currently reading as she hears the very loud intruder enter her Grandma's store. Her peaceful afternoon now sufficiently ruined Paige lowers her book slightly to gaze upon the owner of the obnoxiously shrill voice and she looked exactly how Paige imagined. Just your average wannabe Instagram model, who looks completely at home with a frappe in one hand and cell phone in the other while her small dog clings to her smaller handbag for dear life. Paige had known her all of five seconds and was already pretty sure she hated this woman.

Taking a deep breathe Paige would put her book down and channelled every woman she had ever seen working at a Lush as she says "OMG GIRL! It is so cute and awesomazing to see you here! Welcome to Shades and Shadows, omg I am like so totally feeling your style cutie! Incense is just over there to the left, but someone like you must love a scented candle! We even have a pumpkin spice flavor and it is so fabulous oh em gee!" Before letting her face drop along with the fake demeanour of joy. "Got all that cupcake, cause I am not repeating it?" She quips in her usual, abrasively British tone.

With a quick bat of her eyelashes, her choreographed smile would deflate into something much harsher. "Cupcake? Cupcake? Cupcake!Alicia would shriek, her eyes erratically darting about the mysterious girl's figure, a bead of sweat perfectly forming upon her brow. "I did not return to this dump to be patronised by some Wednesday Addams tribute act - by way the sweetie it's 2018, they aren't burning us at the stake anymore. I mean you're clearly not qualified to work here, I mean who doesn't know that strawberry is the best for luck and prosperity?" She'd continue to rant, taking a minute to ingest a suspicious looking pill, promptly returning to a semi-state of tranquility.

"So how about you go and fetch Ms. Turner like I originally requested, and then you can return to listening to Slipknot or whatever you eccentric types like to get down to these days." She'd quip with a brisk smile, her composure un-compromised by the brazen stranger.

Paige felt the corner of her mouth start to quirk as the woman in front of her actually held her ground, making sure to take note of her almost freaking out completely. It wasn't very often someone actually spoke to her let alone fired back when she insulted them. It was actually kind of refreshing to the raven haired maiden. She wanted to continue throwing her trademark barbs at the tall woman in front of her, especially after that slipknot comment. But she was here to help her Grandma and she had caused enough trouble on that front as it is.

"I can assure you I am very qualified to work here. I can tell you that strawberry incense is good for luck, you were correct about that but there are a lot of other incenses out there with similar effects that don't make your entire house smell like a milkshake. Basil is a classic one, as is Jasmine but my personal favourite is Violet." Paige suggests trying her best to be cordial.

"Jasmine? Basil? Ew, are you some kind of Yankee fetishist?" Alicia would frown, her attention arrogantly drifting towards the busy Twitter timeline erupting on her phone. "Gaia!" She'd shriek, a miscellany of joy and shock would swarm her conscience upon seeing the news of the death of her old nemesis.

"She's actually dead - HA!" She'd stop herself, taking a deep breath. "Really... really sad news" Alicia would gasp looking to the unamused attendant with an awkward grin. "Sorry about that, you was saying? Something about milkshake?"

"I don't know if I can sell you anything in good conscience if you're planning on killing someone else with it. I mean I don't have a problem with it y'know, circle of life and all that, but that leaves a paper trail I am just not comfortable with." Paige jokes.

Paige would chase after the woman, finally stopping her between the tarot cards and the scented candles. Spinning the woman around to face her Paige would grip both her elbows, holding them to her sides and the woman in place. "Are you insane?" Paige would pant, truly not used to physical exertion of any kind. "You know what, don't answer that it's better if I don't know."

Taking a second to catch her breathe Paige would look over the tall woman standing in front of her. She really was impeccably put together, even if her frantically running through the aisles was anything but that. She was actually kind of cu... Paige shook her head ridding herself of the thought before she could even finish it. "I'm Paige. Paige Turner. My Grandmother owns this shop and I am here to help her. Ok?" she answers slowly, trying not to set off the stranger in front of her.

"I'm Alicia Fox, also known as Miss Full Sail 2014, '15 and '17 - it's best if you don't ask about 2016." Alicia would laugh, offering an outstretched hand accompanied by an exaggerated smile. "And no I am not insane, my family prefer to call it quirky."

Snapping away from their handshake she'd run her manicured figure down the dusty shelves. "Soooo Paige Turner, what brings you to Full Sail? I mean no offence, I love your Granny but she doesn't exactly strike me as fun and you don't exactly strike me as the family type. Soooo, that must mean you're running away from something?"

Paige Turner

A pageant girl? ... yeah that makes sense. Paige would think to herself while watching Alicia dust over the shelves. "I wouldn't say that I'm running away, it's more so that I don't really have anywhere else to go. 'Granny' is the only relative I've really got and as much as I am a lone wolf, she thought it would be best if I had someone in my life. It was either this or learning to turn tricks and while I had to consider it for a while, Full Sail eventually won out." Paige joked.

"And what about you Miss Fox? You can't tell me that someone who dresses like that actually wants to be here in Full Sail, the town famous for how devastatingly uninteresting it is." She asked.

Alicia Fox

"Keep the pitchforks in storage, my return is only temporary Full Sail!" Alicia would cackle, grinning at Paige as she'd playfully sashay around the room. "I had the world at my feet, a modelling contract in France, well until I got busted for 'shrooms," She'd continue to giggle, unfazed by the worrying troubles of her life.

"Buuuut although Full Sail may appear dull to a cool mysterious stranger like yourself, it's all about what you make of it," she'd ponder, allowing herself to be distracted by a passing car before snapping herself back into the conversation. "Have you ever done acid, Paige Turner?"
