Cameron Says AJ Lee Could Be "Difficult to Work With Sometimes"

Also with AJ being bi-polar, she could've been in her depressive cycle, hence her not feeling up to practicing a match. I mean she was open and willing when working with Eva Marie, who was roughly around the same level(and that's being kind to Eva) skill-wise as Cameron.

i think we can give credit to cameron here by not comparing her skills to eva's like that :peyton:

but yeah, you're right. she's allowed her off-days and this was never gonna amount to anywhere, so it wasn't worth the possible mental strain it could cause. especially in an era where even when the women would do well, they'd still be overlooked, not to mention the crowd would never praise a cameron match + were never even gonna be paying attention anyway, so

Hmm, I don't really buy it or rather don't really care for it tbh. Not so much because of Cameron, but more so because of the circumstances. This was the next PPV after the whole Punk crap so I'm sure AJ was already going through it, but it would be heightened by the fact she wasn't close to too many girls after what had gone down since the previous summer nor could she count on the company to look out for her, and not just health wise after her man's life could've been in danger due to their negligence. Like Jake said, the match was last minute and wasn't even announced so it wouldn't surprise me if there was some bullshitting by Carrano or the like on whether it would even be happening, and AJ would be an easy target to put the blame on. Without going into full blown conspiracy theory, I've always found the beef between AJ and the TD cast incredibly manufactured/manipulated by the powers that be just to get some reality based drama as well, like giving AJ a chance to drop a pipebomb none of the girls are expecting. Of course she was going to take it and of course those on the other end were going to be mad because they had no clue :skull: It could've been used to set up more on screen moments but then the women being rightfully upset wasn't even allowed to be channelled into firing back.

With girls like Cameron who never did much of anything after their one shot, the resentment from this kind of encounter would probably linger while with others like the Bellas for example, more opportunities to work closer with AJ over a longer period would create more of a rapport. Bonding experiences like her, Nikki and Paige scamming to get a tower of doom spot approved in the NOC triple threat or all their time being cut at SvS and them having to come up with the callback to AJ's kiss of death on the spot. I wouldn't say she's wrong to describe her experience, perhaps just a bit naive. You're being set up for the only takeaway from your interview to be about someone else sis, albeit a legend who had such an impact she's still talked about constantly despite not touching a ring in nearly five years, yes. Oh well.

I kind of do wish she did come back because I think she had a very strong character and would’ve done magic as a manager for someone.

I believe Nattie could not stand AJ. The amount of times she’d go after her cause AJ had gotten “complacent”. :rot:

I actually like Cameron but this was a bit unnecessary and not "tea",came across a little bitter.

Cameron was there awhile at that stage and that match was last minute and meant nothing in the long run so AJ could have bailed and realistically had some segment instead. Charitable queen working through her stomach ache to give Divas A Chance

This a MYTH, Eva Marie said AJ was awesome to work with and always cool to her. Guess she didn't rock with Cameron's energy. Can't say I blame her!

You could tell Nattie did not like AJ from the little interaction they had, and Nattie is known to be pretty much a snitch and a brown-noser, so

I do believe AJ was difficult to get along with and that the other girls and her did not mesh, whether or not that was her mental state, her real personality, or jealousy. It doesn’t seem to be an in-ring problem though and mostly behind the scenes, so AJ at the least was professional and respectful to the girls. Cameron really is not the authority to speak on this, but we’ll never get a real answer from anyone because the rest are going to be too PR-friendly, so that’s that.

Maryse is a cute girl, but she didn't monopolize/eclipse an entire division. We can do Chyna though!

The AJ and Cameron match was announced before the PPV, it was accidentally posted all on WWE's social media accounts. WWE changed it afterwards though announcing AJ will be defending the championship in an open challenge, but since there was a match infographic, everyone at the time knew it was Cameron.

I remember Aj vs Cameron being quite entertaining. It was never about to be a wrestling classic :rot: but it was what it was!  ShorttermLegitimateKronosaurus-size_rest

    • Why is AJ Lee so in demand?
      By Cooksie
Though her wrestling career is well in her rear view mirror, the WWE Universe is the clingy ex-girlfriend that just keeps leaving voicemails.

From fans, talent to (seemingly) the company itself, ahead of the upcoming all women's pay-per-view, WWE Evolution, fans have been clamoring for an appearance of some sort from iconic three-time Divas Champion, AJ Lee. AJ, now known professionally as AJ Mendez (her real name) has been working in promotion of her New York Times best-selling memoir, Crazy is My Superpower, and as a mental health advocate since leaving WWE in 2015.
Names such as Raw Women's Champion Nikki Bella, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and a WWE.com poll that was posted across all of WWE's social media pages had fans salivating at the idea, to which AJ has yet to really respond, it being understood that her stance towards the company hadn't really changed despite some fond memories.
So, this begs the question: why is the demand for AJ so high? Do fans not have closure due to the abruptness of her departure? Has it been recognized that she is of more worth than frequent returnees and company acknowledged "GOATs" such as Trish Stratus or Lita? Is the larger demand outside of our women's wrestling forum due moreover to her marriage to disgraced UFC fighter CM Punk? Or can no other girl compete where they don't compare? Or rather compare where she no longer competes?
Additionally, is this outward desire above all other choices productive as it pertains to booking potential returnees for Evolution? Would it be better for fans to put eggs in a basket still open?
      Discuss.

    • Today in History, August 26, 2013: A Much Deserved New One #PipeBombshell
      By Eric
August 26, 2013, AJ Lee TORE the Divas Division A Much Deserved New One!
August 26, 2013, the beacon of light for during that time AJ Lee tore the diva's division a much deserved new one. Shocked and confused as to why AJ turned down the opportunity to become a cast member of the hit reality show Total Divas, Vince granted AJ the opportunity to explain herself LIVE on Raw where she delivered one of the most bone-chilling DIVAS promos of all time which was named soon after the Pipe-Bombshell.
Let's take a moment to reflect on this historic moment that will forever be in the books as one of the greatest promos of all time.
