Best Scene in Comic Book Movie History

22 posts in this topic

This tweet (an Endgame spoiler) of undoubtedly a top three all time comic book movie scene got me thinking: what are some of the best scenes in a comic book movie in your opinion? There's so many to choose from, but this for me is absolutely THE best scene and will never be matched. The feeling of seeing this in theater with my nieces is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life:

This was also major and iconic even though it was in a meh movie. That theme is literally legendary

The only thing better than the assembly  roundup in Endgame is the A-Force team up with all the women.

And also, this OG bad b*tch of comic book movies

I can’t decide between Avengers Assemble in Endgame or Wonder Woman’s badass walk through the firing line.

Love that I anticipated the predictable Endgame scene being mentioned before I even read through.

If anything, this is hands down the most iconic sequence of the Avengers franchise. It's practically a staple (and even gets its due in Endgame, as it should).

Well, this and pretty much any of Thor's entrances in any of the films.

mine too. The Dark Knight films are fine but to me the 90s is Batman media’s peak between Batman Returns and the animated series. I wish it was more true to canon but it still slays and we deserved a Michelle Pfeiffer solo film.

!!!! It was such a nice middle ground too. It had the darkness, seriousness and real stakes of Frank Miller and shit, but the colorfulness and OTTness that makes you remember you're watching a comic book movie and not some self-serious crime drama like Nolan's. And yes, like you said, that time was so cool to be a Batman fan. I was tiny, but I vaguely remember the hype surrounding Batman Forever and all the ads and posters (the Riddler posters and Jim Carrey terrified me) and toys everywhere :laycry:

:shook:Michelle! Ugh! We were robbed.  The classic 90's Batman movies will forever be my favorite I could watch them over and over again as if I'm watching it for the 1st time.

I was about to post this scene. It always sends chills down my spine, Michelle did SUCH an amazing job as Catwoman. We deserved more.

And I don't care what people say about The Dark Knight, Batman Returns is the best Batman film made.
