Almost, I guess. I’m honestly shocked at all the 1989 snubs even though I can’t stand Taylor.

I don’t object, the only good song on 1989 is Blank Space.

Willy is also correct. Artpop is indeed better than Jopanned (Gaga’s worst album to date).

The only good song on Artpop doesn’t exist anymore but y’all ain’t ready for that conversation yet I guess

There’s a reason I’ve put the album down awhile ago.

ARTPOP is still not a bad listen but DWUW definitely left a dent.

There are definitely a few good tracks on it, but it’s a lot to process for me. Joanne is definitely a tone-shift, so I can understand why some people would prefer Artpop, but the more mature sound lets her talent shine more.

We sure aren’t, because the title track and Swine never left.

I don't listen to much current music, but here's my personal list of favorites for the decade. In no particular order.

I counted Amerie's project as one since it's a short EP and they go hand in hand.

HM also goes to "CTRL" and "Queen"

It was a difficult choice. Just like it was kinda hard to put Beyonce's self titled before 4.

This is just my personal taste and not really based on sales or legacy. These albums have resonated with me and continue to have replay value going into a new decade.

Golden Hour | Kacey Musgraves | 2018

Nearly every single track on this album induced tears upon my first listen and some thereafter as well. As someone who grew up on country music but felt alienated after the mid-2000s when songs became watered down and stopped telling stories, this was a breath of fresh air and a sign of hope. She has described her genre as "galactic country" and that could be a nod to the frequent vocoder, steel guitar, and all around crisp production.

CTRL | SZA | 2017

As with most trends, I was late to the SZA party, but she captivated me instantly beginning with her SNL performance. The unique, dissonant chords in "Supermodel" are haunting, "The Weekend" will have you hooked for days, and "Normal Girl" is a beautiful ballad. Collaborations with Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, and others really bring a crispness to this album.

Channel Orange | Frank Ocean | 2012

Frank Ocean helped me discover my taste in hip-hop, R&B, as well as rap. I found this album at a dark time in my life and driving around bumping to this was a therapeutic experience. "Pyramids" is a masterpiece in my book and you can't deny that falsetto in "Thinkin' Bout You".

Others include:

sweetener | Ariana Grande

thank u, next | Ariana Grande

Good Kid, M.A.A.D City | Kendrick Lamar

Currents | Tame Impala

Pure Heroine | Lorde

Invasion of Privacy | Cardi B

Now | Shania Twain
