Tributes pour in for former WWE wrestler Brodie Lee who has passed away aged 41

Tributes have been pouring in for Brodie Lee, who tragically passed away at the age of 41.

He was best remembered his time at the WWE, though he had also worked at the AEW as well as with Jersey All Pro wrestling.

Also known as Luke Harper and Mr. Brodie Lee, the New Yorker was born Jonathan Huber on December 16, 1979.

Huber leaves behind two children and wife Synndy Swan, who is also a former wrestler.

He married Synndy, real name Amanda, in 2008 and have two children aged eight and three.

And his wife has posted a heartbreaking message to her Instagram account.

She said: "I never wanted to write out those words. My heart is broken.

"The world saw him as the amazing @brodielee (fka Luke Harper) but he was my best friend, my husband, and the greatest father you would ever meet.

"No words can express the love I feel or how broken I am right now.

"He passed surrounded by love ones after a hard fought battle with a non Covid related lung issue.

"The @mayoclinic is literally the best team of doctors and nurses in the world who surrounded me with constant love."

Tributes have poured in from across the world for Huber, who was well-loved and known as kind-hearted and friendly.

WWE host Ryan Pappolla said: In six at WWE now I’ve not only never heard anyone say a bad word about Harper, but I’ve only ever heard absolutely amazing things. Terribly, terribly sad. Thinking of his family.

“Loss for words. Guy LOVED being a dad. Loved his kids,” nZo said.

Betty Phoenix said: “Unthinkable. Love and strength to Jon’s family.”

Mega Ran wrote: “i have one Brodie Lee memory, when I was backstage at Smackdown, him and Miro were trash talking each other about FIFA.. I was shocked he was talking so much since Harper probably never talked.”

WWE legend Matt Hardy posted: “I’m shattered over Brodie’s passing. He was full of life with a wife and young children he loved. A devastating reminder of how fragile life is. Rest well, friend.”

“My heart hurts. One of the nicest humans. My love and prayers go out to his beautiful family,” Penelope Ford tweeted.

Nick Aldis said: “Tell your people you love them. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. My heart goes out to the Huber family.”
